A tribute to the Carabins, the leaders of tomorrow

April 10, 2014, 12:32pm

On April 8, I had the pleasure of serving as the honorary chair for the 2013–2014 Carabins annual sports awards gala. While the awards themselves recognize the outstanding academic and athletic achievements of student-athletes from HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal and Université de Montréal, they also pay tribute to our next generation of leaders.

As a father and a businessman, I place a high value on education and sports. Community involvement has always been important to the Molson family, which is why I agreed to serve as co-chair of the Campus Montréal fundraising campaign.

By giving their best, in both their athletic and academic pursuits, Carabins student-athletes are models for our youth, our campus, and our community. Their dual roles of student and athlete enable them to acquire knowledge, skills, and experience that will help them gain an edge in the job market and succeed in life.

I invite you to view the following video, which contains a special message that I shared with the Carabins at the gala. You may even recognize a few of the people who dropped in to see me at the Bell Centre during the shooting of this video.
